After the great success of the first winter of the new exhibition space in Courmayeur, Galleria Deodato Arte is pleased to announce an exclusive evening event with Mr. Savethewall.
On Saturday 26 February, from 6 p.m., a live performance by the artist Mr. Savethewall will give life to the unprecedented "Kiss Me Courma", made to pay homage to the famous Alpine locality at the base of Mont Blanc.
The evening event will be held at the Courmayeur location of Galleria Deodato Arte, in Strada Regionale 38, Courmayeur. Entrance is free and Green Pass certification is required. To take part in the opening event, you must register free of charge by following the instructions below.
Mr. Savethewall and Post Street Art
Mr. Savethewall, artistic name of Pierpaolo Perretta, is one of the leading artists of the Deodato Arte gallery. Born in Como, in 2013 he decided to leave his secure and well-paid job to devote himself solely to his art.
A great fan of street-art, he immediately shows a remarkable difference from his colleagues and predecessors. Mr. Savethewall, in fact, is a street artist who declares himself against the defacement of walls, so much so that his stage name stands for Mr. Save the Wall. The artist decides not to create his murals directly on the walls, but to use easily removable adhesive tape and recyclable, low-impact materials such as cardboard.
Protecting urban decorum becomes his mission, which he also conveys in his art, which he himself defines as "Post Street Art". Mr. Savethewall wants to communicate with the public through the use of images that may seem simple at first glance, but which in the end carry a complex and profound message.
