VIRTUAL EXHIBITION IN 3D

Milan, June 3rd 2020 – The Deodato Arte Gallery presents "Marco Glaviano Icons", the exhibition of the artist Marco Glaviano, which traces the career of one of the most appreciated Italian photographers in the world, known for his wonderful fashion photos, calendars, collaborations with glossy magazines such as Vogue America and Harper's Bazaar and stylists of the caliber of Giorgio Armani, but above all for photographing the supermodels of the 80s and 90s such as Cindy Crawford, Paulina Porizkova, Claudia Schiffer and Eva Herzigova giving birth to myths and style icons that have marked a ‘era. The exhibition is unique in its kind and can be visited by a potentially infinite number of people, thanks to the application of virtual reality developed internally by the IT technicians of the Deodato Arte gallery, precisely to allow the public to enjoy works of art admiring them in an environment 3D, from different angles, while virtually "walking" in a realistic, though virtual, space.
"Marco Glaviano Icons" officially opens on Friday 19 June at 18.30 in the "virtual room" of the Deodato Arte gallery, accessible directly from the website www.deodato.com.
The exhibition includes Best Seller and Unposted works by the photographer passionate about jazz music, who in almost fifty years of his career has produced 15 books immortalizing the most prominent characters of the international jet set. Quincy Jones, B.B. King, Whitney Houston, Gianni Agnelli and Alberto di Monaco are just some of the characters whose soul Glaviano captured in rare intensity shots.

It is a selection of the most iconic shots of the photographer Marco Glaviano, who now lives between Milan and New York. Each photograph is printed with the precious Giclée printing technique, as indicated in the certificate of authenticity. All the works are limited editions, signed and numbered in pencil by the photographer.
UNPOSTED
The UNPOSTED area collects the unpublished works of Marco Glaviano. Thanks to the new exclusive collaboration in Italy with Deodato Arte, Marco Glaviano has decided to publish from his historical archives a selection of works dedicated to the Italian market and, only on request, to the foreign one. Each photograph is printed with the precious Giclée printing technique and all the works are limited editions, signed and numbered in pencil by the photographer. Marco Glaviano was born in Palermo, Sicily, in 1942. He studied architecture at the University of Palermo and, in this period, began to develop his interest in photography. In the same years he worked in the theater as a set designer and set designer and joined a jazz group, his other great passion. With them, during the sixties, he participated in numerous Jazz Festivals, where he began taking the first photographs of other musicians. In 1967 he decided to pursue his career as a photographer and moved first to Rome, for a short period, then to Milan, where he opened the studio where he will live and work for 8 years. During the early 70s his photographs began to appear in the most important European fashion magazines, in particular Vogue Italia. This growing fame finally brought him to New York, where he settled in 1975. Here he first signed an exclusivity contract with Vogue America and, between 1982 to 1994, with Harper's Bazaar.
Marco Glaviano has worked in the field of fashion and beauty for the most important American and European magazines. To date, it has more than 500 covers and editorials for the most prestigious international publications. His beautiful photographs led him to be considered one of the best photographers in the world in the fashion industry.
