Deodato Arte Gallery is pleased to announce an art night in support of Fondazione Umberto Veronesi that will feature the light sculptures by Marco Lodola in a special charity event.
The iconic female silhouettes designed by the artist illuminated the windows of prestigious stores around the world in 2021. Fondazione Umberto Veronesi has received as a gift some of these works, which have been restored and hand-signed by the artist. In collaboration with Deodato Arte, the works will be available for sale and exhibited at our gallery in Via Nerino 2, Milan on Tuesday 15 March from 6.30 pm. The entrance is free and the reservation is required. To enter you need to show a valid Green Pass certification.
All proceeds of the evening will support the project by Fondazione Umberto Veronesi Pink is Good, project for scientific research into women's cancers. From Tuesday 16 March, the works will be available on our website. Each artwork card will indicate the minimum donation to be made directly to Fondazione Umberto Veronesi and how to receive the works.

Fondazione Umberto Veronesi
Established in 2003 by Prof. Umberto Veronesi to promote scientific progress, Fondazione Umberto Veronesi focuses its work on two areas: funding excellent scientific research, the driving force behind scientific progress, and disseminating science, so that the discoveries of science become the heritage of all. Over the years, the foundation has created a new model for the development of science, introducing a new criterion in Italy: investing in scientific culture to create a new generation of scientists and citizens aware of the progress of research.
With the great Pink is Good project, Fondazione Umberto Veronesi aims to offer concrete support to scientific research into women's cancers and spread the culture of prevention.
“Every year in Italy, more than 55.000 women fall ill with breast cancer, 10.700 with uterine cancer and 5.200 with ovarian cancer. The results obtained to date by scientific research are encouraging and show how early diagnosis and new therapies can save the lives of many women. This is why supporting excellent research and promoting awareness campaigns is still necessary and vital today" - Professor Paolo Veronesi, President of the Umberto Veronesi Foundation and Director of the IEO Division of Surgical Senology.
