Deodato Arte is pleased to announce the Mr. Savethewall x Rum Diplomático collaboration. During the 2019 Affordable Art Fair in Milan, one of the Deodato Arte gallery's leading artists, Mr. Savethewall won the challenge launched by the Caribbean company Rum Diplomático to reinterpret the Brand in a contemporary key according to the artist's language.
The limited edition of Rum Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva, is a luxury capsule collection that focuses on enhancing the creativity of emerging talents and highlighting contemporary art through concrete support for new talents. During the event, the artists were asked to work on a reinterpretation of the brand's iconography in a live performance.
The end result was a capsule collection in 3 colours to dress up the limited edition Rum Diplomático canister. In all, 1680 pieces were made in each colour. Each canister contains a silkscreen print numbered and signed by the artist.
In this unique project, the artist's creativity and the company's needs come together in a capsule collection not to be missed.
Mr. Savethewall and Post Street Art
Pierpaolo Perretta, aka Mr. Savethewall, is one of the leading artists of the Deodato Arte gallery. Originally from Como, he did not start his activity until 2013, when he decided to abandon his secure and well-paid job to devote himself exclusively to street-art.
He immediately characterised himself as an artist different from his predecessors by declaring himself against the defacement of walls, so much so that his stage name means Mr. Save the Wall. In fact, the artist decided not to create his murals directly on the walls, but to use easily removable adhesive tape and low impact, recyclable materials such as cardboard.
His desire to protect urban decorum is conveyed within his art, which he himself defines as "Post Street Art". Mr. Savethewall wants to communicate with the public through the use of images that are simple at first glance, but ultimately carry a complex and profound message.
Rum Diplomatico: passion and experience
The Diplomático distillery is located in the foothills of the Andes in Venezuela. The entirely family-owned and independent brand controls the entire production chain, from field to bottle. The company's identity is based on an unwavering commitment to quality thanks to the passion and dedication that the team puts into creating an excellent rum.

The symbol of the brand is Don Juancho, a local nobleman who studied the different ingredients and methods of creating different flavours of rum and other traditional drinks.
Today, Diplomático rums bear the portrait of Don Juancho and the company is driven by the passion and traditional values that have always been a hallmark.
