Since Wednesday 14 July 2021 Mr. Savethewall has "invaded" Piazza Cordusio in Milan with his iconic frogs, to support the renovation of The Medelan, the new look of the historic Palazzo del Credito Italiano. 106 Kiss Me frogs, more than 2 metres high and entirely handmade by the artist, form a street-style frieze around the building's perimeter: an unprecedented installation that celebrates Milan, its energy and that of its inhabitants, as well as the desire to restart. In a colourful parade, the frogs (and froglets) showed themselves to the public in a variety of outfits: long, fashionable coats, turtlenecks, jackets and ties, ... For the occasion, the artist decided to create a new version of the iconic character from the Kiss Me series, the female version of the frog, who, like her companion, appears in elegant dresses and suits.
"The frog is a symbol of prosperity and wealth, protection and luck. The frog is capable of making metamorphosis like what each of us symbolically does several times in our life, generally in correspondence with fundamental moments. I wanted to bring these 106 frogs to such a visible point in Milan, leaving the passer-by the possibility to choose which message to draw." - Mr. Savethewall

The Medelan is a PAREF Group project. A lifestyle destination that is spread over 8 floors in an area of 55,000 square meters and will host 8 high-end shops, offices for smart and co-working and exclusive dining options, as well as a speakeasy bar and a star-rated restaurant.
