Mr. Brainwash's works in the first street art inspired hotel

In collaboration with Deodato Arte, Verona hosts Muraless, the first street art inspired hotel with works and installations by world renowned street artists such as Mr. Brainwash and Mr. Savethewall.

The project stems from the restoration of the old Hotel Cristallo, which is getting a new life under the sign of Street Art. From the graffiti-style exterior to the entrance and rooms: an immersive experience that leaves you speechless!

The interior design project was conceived by Chiara Canali, Street Art expert and curator of Mr. Savethewall's International Language exhibition held at Deodato Arte in 2019.

Mr. Brainwash's inimitable touch

The exterior features murals by international street artist Mr. Brainwash (aka Thierry Guetta). In an explosion of joy and positivity, there are inscriptions such as his unmistakable 'Life is Beautiful' and 'Love is the Answer', but also references to mass culture figures and his most iconic subjects. These include Leonardo's Mona Lisa, Madonna, Einstein, Alfred Hitchcock and many others.

The artist's rooms

The hotel's rooms, spread over three floors, are personalised by individual artists in a journey that tells the stories and riches of the peninsula. Each section of the hotel has a different theme, each dedicated to a great Italian tradition: from cinema to wine, art and fashion.

Among them, a room designed by Mr. Savethewall features his iconic subjects such as the frogs from the Kiss Me series. The room echoes the aesthetics of Wallsaved, a collection in which the artist brings the city wall to life and recreates it in the studio as a tribute to the essence of urban art.
