Galleria Deodato Arte is pleased to announce an art night dedicated to Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama. The evening-event will take place at the Deodato Arte Gallery in Milan, Via Nerino 1.
Starting at 6.30 pm on Thursday 4 May 2023, it will be possible to discover the works by Yayoi Kusama. From the famous pumpkins to coloured dots, you will have the chance to immerse yourself in the works that have made Kusama so famous!

The exhibition pays tribute to the artist whose style is a perfect mix of minimalism, surrealism, pop art and abstract expressionism.
YAYOI KUSAMA - PUMPKIN: THE OBSESSION WITH PUMPKINS
In Yayoi Kusama’s art, Pumpkins are one of the most recurring subjects. The artist’s passion for pumpkins was born during her childhood when she would walk through the fields of her grandfather’s farm and find herself admiring the pumpkins. The vegetable struck her for its structural simplicity and she composed her first watercolours with it.
The artist captures not only the grace of the vegetable but also what she describes as their “generous unpretentiousness” and “solid spiritual balance”.
