THE ARTWORK

-

Known worldwide and jet icon for many advertising campaigns, "The Last Supper" by Leonardo da Vinci - oil fresco in the refectory of Santa Maria delle Grazie in Milan - is here read back in a Pop and contemporary key by Tomoko Nagao. The artpiece becomes a sceen printing in Vectorial Art in which Jesus and the Apostles eat a junk food dinner on a table laid with an Ikea cloth (which is signed by the artist) together with other well known pop icons, like Lady Gaga.
Tomoko Nagao studied the composition helped by Mario Taddei, one of the biggest Leonardo's works international experts (and curator of the exposition "Leonardo 3", internationally successful exhibition during which Leonardo's masterpieces were rebuilt in 3D using a very complicated software), choosing to maintain the original composition, faded colors and all the objects that already appeared in the fresco, such as the knife and the salt poured near Judah, who keeps a phablet opened on Google application.
